Hi. My name is Ian and I live guitar.
I'm lucky enough to spend my time playing it and teaching it to others.
Like many people, I spent my first years of playing the guitar teaching myself and learning here and there from friends. Then I studied jazz with pianist and composer David Vayo, and later studied classical guitar with Jason Vieaux. As I began to study classical guitar, I was hired by the owner of the Fairmount School of Music to teach private lessons in rock, folk, classical, and jazz and was handed six students to get started with on Fridays after my regular job.By the time I left Ohio to come to Tucson, my teaching studio had grown to 72 weekly students.
